This is an eight hour course and each class is a continuance of the previous class. YOU CANNOT REGISTER FOR JUST ONE CLASS - YOU MUST ATTEND ALL EIGHT HOURS TO COMPLETE ONE FULL COURSE. You are required to complete the full course prior to submitting your IDA application.

Location: AAA Fair Credit Foundation, 230 West 200 South, Ste 3104, Salt Lake City UT

Course Fee: $35 per household (a household equals all persons living in the same residence and applying jointly for their home). Please make payment in the form of Check, Money Order, or Cashier's check made payable to AAA Fair Credit Foundation. Please NO CASH.

Prepare yourself for making your biggest financial decision and purchase: your home. In this workshop you will learn:

  • The loan process, associated documents, and how to read/understand each document.
  • Credit and money management skills.
  • How much home you can afford vs. how much home you can qualify for.
  • Different types of loan products.
  • Expecting unexpected housing costs.
  • What it takes to keep a home and how to protect your investment.

This class meets the guidelines established by HUD for first-time homebuyer education. This is a two-part class and participants must attend both nights to receive a certificate of completion for related lending programs.
